Dry powder fire extinguisher
Scope of application: sodium bicarbonate dry powder fire extinguisher suitable for flammable, flammable liquid, gas and live equipment fire; Ammonium phosphate dry powder extinguisher can be used in addition to the above mentioned fires, but also can put out the initial fire of solid materials. But neither can put out a metal fire.
When putting out flammable and flammable liquid fires, dry powder extinguishers should aim at the main part of the flame. If the liquid fire being put out is flowing and burning, they should aim at the root of the flame from near to far, and fire left and right until the flame is put out. If the flammable liquid is burning in the container, the user should aim at the flame root from left to right, so that the spray of dry powder flow covers the entire surface of the container; When the flame is driven out of the container, the user should continue spraying until the flame is completely extinguished. When extinguishing flammable liquid fire in the container, it should be noted that the nozzle should not be directed at the liquid level to spray, to prevent the impact of the jet to splash out flammable liquid and expand the fire, resulting in fire suppression difficulties. If the flammable liquid burns for too long in the metal container, the wall temperature of the container is higher than the spontaneous combustion point of the flammable liquid, it is easy to cause the phenomenon of reignition after extinguishing the fire. If it is used in combination with the foam fire extinguisher, the fire extinguishing effect is better.
Usage: When extinguishing the fire, you can carry the fire extinguisher on your hand or shoulder to the fire site quickly, and put down the fire extinguisher about 5 meters away from the burning place. If outdoors, choose to spray in the wind direction. If the dry powder fire extinguisher used is of external hanging pressure storage type, the operator should hold the spray gun with one hand and lift the opening lift ring on the gas storage cylinder with the other hand. If the opening of the gas cylinder is handwheel type, turn it counterclockwise and turn it to the highest position, then lift the fire extinguisher. When the dry powder is released, it is quickly directed at the root of the flame. If the dry powder extinguisher used is a built-in gas storage cylinder or a pressure storage type, the operator should first pull out the safety pin on the opening handle, then hold the nozzle at the front end of the spray hose, and press down the opening handle with the other hand to open the fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire. A fire extinguisher with a spray hose or a pressure storage fire extinguisher should always press down the handle in one hand and not let go, otherwise the injection will be interrupted.
Note: When using the ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguisher to put out the solid fuel fire, it should aim at the most intense burning place and shoot up and down, left and right. If conditions permit, the user can carry the fire extinguisher to spray along the four sides of the burner, so that the dry powder extinguishing agent is evenly sprayed on the surface of the burner until all the flames are extinguished.
The use of wheeled dry powder extinguishers is the same as that of portable dry powder extinguishers.
